I didn’t say all the news media is biased, but far too much is (this is a PR blog for heaven’s sake — a blanket statement like that would put me out of work). I also didn’t say they were all were in the tank for Obama, but far too many were. Too many were also shilling for McCain.

You’re right, FOX certainly wasn’t among those pushing for Team Obama, but they were, as you say, spinning for the other side. I think cable news stations are largely to blame for an increase in media bias. They discovered early on that people like to watch programs with a slant that is similar to their own and embraced that fact.

The fact is, journalists shouldn’t be contributing to the sales pitch or spin. They should be providing factual and unbiased information — or as factual and unbiased as they can. Otherwise, news becomes another form of entertainment.

The news print industry is having to rethink its model, yes, or not. Any good conservative would say... let
the market do its thing. Extinction is good.

The idea that ALL of the news media are biased may not be the best description... They each have to sell something and the best way to do that, is to appeal to someone specific. Or we have socialized news -- probably not good.

What free enterprise is best at is allowing all versions access. Perhaps the red team needs to sell better and quit whining about the great sales job the O Team did...

The truth is Fox did not spin the Obama team as a good thing.
